Skyrim: What is the best conjuration familiar?

I just got level 100 conjration and have done the phiinis gestor quest, now i need a good spell. I have a storm thrall in mind, but the thing is it takes ages to summon and uses up a lot of magicka. On the other hand, dremora lords are decent, but they only last for 2 minuites and most of the time they die when i summon them. In your opinion, what is your favourite spell and why?

Answer:
Either permanent storm atronach or dead thrall. Both of these summons are permanent, and the mana cost is irrelevant if you enchant your armor to get zero magicka cost as explained in a sub-section of this guide:

Regardless of what spells you use you should get the enchantments for unlimited magicka in the two schools of magic.

Storm Atronachs are the best atronachs that you can summon; their ranged attacks are powerful and they're much more resilient than flame atronachs. Dead thrall is fantastic because you can reanimate dead NPC's and they'll fight for you. Several of these thralls can be VERY powerful; there are hundreds of options and the debate for the best one is large, but that is a topic for another question. I'll just say it's amusing getting two Master Conjurers - lets just say that your summons will in turn be summoning.
